chocolate chip cookies with nuts
Ingredients
- 200g butter (softened)
- 100g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 200g flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 100g chocolate chips
- 100g nuts (such as walnuts or pecans, chopped)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream the Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the Egg:
Beat in the egg until fully combined with the butter and sugar mixture.
4. Add Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Fold in Chocolate Chips and Nuts:
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the dough.
6. Form the Cookies:
Use a spoon or cookie scoop to form small balls of dough (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
7. Bake:
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Keep an eye on them, as baking times may vary depending on your oven.
8. Cool:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
